We wanted to be sure we had plenty of things on hand to help us with any accidents should they occur. No one wants to suffer through a long flight with a smelly mess! Especially not the kitties. So, we found some items we’ll be bringing along to help keep everything clean and protected.
Besides the big waterproof pads we’re bringing, we’ll also have plenty of potty pads on hand. We thought it would be a good idea to have disposable options with us, even if I cringe at the thought of using something once and throwing it away.

Fortunately, we discovered these pads at Chewy. Here’s their item description:
Designed with bamboo fiber tissue, this leak-proof liner is made with 50% recycled material and features a super absorbent layer of tissue and pulp for extended indoor stays. Five durable layers of protection help lock in wetness while the leak-proof plastic lining helps protect your floors from moisture. The fast-drying quilted top layer prevents tracking so you won’t have to worry about any messy trails! It’s bleach-free, dye-free and an all-around eco-conscious answer to potty training.
We’ve tried them out around here and they seem to work great!

In addition to the pads, we figured we’d need some bags to put waste in. We came across this little fire hydrant baggie holder at our local natural foods store. The container and the bags are made of eco-friendly materials, and it has a little velcro strap so it can easily hang off a bag or belt loop to be quickly accessible.
We’ll probably be bringing other cleaning supplies, such as wet wipes and enzyme cleaner. If you have any favorites, let us know in the comments below!
